Pimlico Plumbers: A Complete Refresh Across London

Pimlico Plumbers tasked us with a complete refresh of their imagery for the commercial section of their website. Hundreds of images across eight sectors captured their services, team, and expertise, bringing the brand to life with authenticity and energy.

How it all started

In early June, Pimlico Plumbers approached our team to create a comprehensive set of images for the commercial section of their website. They explained that they were re-launching the commercial section as part of a greater push to expand exposure within the commercial sector and needed imagery that truly reflected their offering.

Our brief was to target eight different sectors, each required images of eight different services, represented by two different models in each set, along with additional service-specific imagery. This added up to around 450 shots across at least eight locations in London.

The Brief

Although extensive, the brief was well thought through by Pimlico’s team, which allowed us to quickly understand that the goal was about authenticity and professionalism across sectors such as hospitality, hotels, retail, leisure and entertainment, education, offices, embassies, and healthcare. Each sector required imagery that represented the type of engineer performing each service, ensuring the visuals were realistic and on-brand. No problem!

Working with Mark and his team was an absolute pleasure. From our very first call, we knew we were in safe hands. Mark is incredibly resourceful, and with years of experience, a strong network, and in-depth knowledge of London (he could be a black cab driver!), he managed to secure the perfect locations for our shoot

Planning and Organisation

Working with our contacts utilising all our organisational skills were key to making this work and cost effective. This was a great opportunity to showcase what Mark Weeks Photo & Video could accomplish. Pimlico needed an office, a school, a healthcare clinic, an embassy, a theatre, a restaurant and more. Leveraging everything we had, we honed in on some great locations and approached our contacts about potentially doing a shoot at their workplace. Within minutes, at least four clients wrote back confirming they would be happy to accommodate us.

We then created a spreadsheet detailing each sector and specifying actual locations for the shoot. Shortly after sending this sheet to Pimlico, we got an email back letting us know they had selected us for the shoot.

Casting the Right Models

Using actual Pimlico engineers was not an option, simply because staff turnover could make website images outdated. Instead, we turned to professional models who could convincingly represent the engineers.

Within an hour, we contacted Kieran Jay Castings, one of London’s top agencies, and by the next morning had a selection of suitable models for each sector and service.

Shooting Across London

Over several weeks, we executed the shoot across all eight locations. Our team divided tasks between lighting, staging, directing models, and coordinating with each location. The models were directed to perform realistic engineer tasks, while we captured multiple angles and scenarios to cover all service variations.

Our familiarity with London locations, peak hours, and regulations allowed us to work efficiently and unobtrusively. We shot both photos and video across each day, resulting in a massive amount of content.

Post-Production and Reels

After the shoot, our team meticulously edited images for lighting, colour, and style consistency to align with Pimlico’s refreshed brand identity. We also produced reels showcasing the engineers in action, providing dynamic storytelling for each sector. The combination of stills and video ensured the website could fully represent Pimlico Plumbers’ commercial capabilities.

The Result

The project delivered a comprehensive visual library: over 450 images and 80 accompanying reels covering eight sectors. Every service was authentically represented, and the imagery elevated Pimlico’s brand across their commercial website. The marketing team praised the professionalism, creativity, and organisation demonstrated by our team.
